TapMinutes preserves the transcript and creates the selected output after transcription and any required processing.
Minutes organize the conversation into a concise meeting record. Notes provide a more detailed account. Both creates both outputs from the same transcript.
TapMinutes records on iPhone and iPad. Apple Watch provides remote controls for the paired iPhone.
Use the recording controls to pause and resume. An active recording can continue while the iPhone is locked. The Live Activity shows recording status on supported system surfaces.
The Apple Watch app can start, pause, resume, stop, or cancel an iPhone recording. The Watch is a remote companion; transcription, minutes, notes, organization, and review remain on iPhone or iPad.
Basic supports recordings up to 20 minutes each. Basic can process up to 3 meetings per day and 6 per week. The count is shared between recordings and audio/video imports.
Audio/video import is available on Basic and Pro. Document and transcript-file import is Pro-only.
Basic uses on-device transcription on supported iOS versions. Pro uses premium cloud transcription. Basic imports share the normal Basic meeting and duration limits.
Some media includes a caption or transcript track. TapMinutes inspects imported media and offers a preview when meaningful text is found. Reusing that text avoids a fresh audio transcription; choosing transcription processes the playable audio track instead.
Pro supports text-based PDF, TXT, SRT, and VTT. SRT and VTT files can provide existing transcript text. DOCX is not supported.
PDF extraction may be limited to the first 50 pages or approximately 80,000 extracted characters.
TapMinutes does not include built-in OCR. If a PDF contains only scanned images, convert it with an external OCR tool before importing it.
Confirm that the file is fully downloaded, not damaged or password protected, and contains a compatible playable audio track when audio transcription is selected. Format support depends on the media and the supported operating system. If embedded captions are available, try reusing them.
Review the transcript and generated content inside TapMinutes on both plans. External use is a Pro feature.
TapMinutes stores meeting audio on the device and lets you replay it while reviewing the preserved transcript, minutes, or notes. You can search, filter, and edit meeting content where the app provides those controls.
Basic includes two regenerations per meeting. Pro includes unlimited regeneration. Choose a built-in style or an available custom preset when you want a different tone, structure, or level of detail.
Pro can copy or share meeting content, read minutes or notes aloud, and create and share polished PDFs.
Custom PDF Branding adds a company name and logo. It is included with Pro and may also be offered as a one-time purchase when shown in the app. PDF creation and sharing normally require Pro, so the branding purchase alone should not be understood as unlocking the full export workflow.
Creating and editing folders, tags, and bookmarks requires Pro.
Create folders to separate clients, classes, projects, teams, or recurring meetings. Add and edit tags to connect related meetings across folders, then filter History by folder or tag.
On Basic, existing folders, tags, and related meeting content remain visible when relevant, but creating folders, moving meetings, and editing tags require Pro.
Add bookmarks during a recording to save an exact time and label it for later review. Existing bookmarks remain visible when relevant on Basic; creating new bookmarks requires Pro.
Pro includes unlimited custom presets. When available in the app, the separate Custom Preset Pack unlocks up to three custom presets without a Pro subscription.
iCloud sync is available to Basic and Pro users.
When iCloud is enabled for TapMinutes, meeting information may sync across supported Apple devices through your personal iCloud account. TapMinutes does not have direct access to the content stored in that personal account.
Confirm that each device is signed into the intended Apple Account, iCloud Drive is enabled, TapMinutes has iCloud access, and the devices have a connection. Sync timing is managed by Apple and can vary.
Plan status affects transcription, limits, organization, recovery, and external sharing.
After the seven-day Pro trial, Basic can process up to 3 meetings per day and 6 per week, with a 20-minute limit for each recording or audio/video import. It includes supported on-device transcription, in-app transcript/minutes/notes review, Minutes/Notes/Both, built-in styles, two regenerations per meeting, and iCloud sync.
Pro adds meetings and duration beyond Basic limits, premium cloud transcription, copy/share/export, PDF creation and sharing, backup and restore, Recover Saved Recordings, folders, tags, bookmarks, read aloud, unlimited regeneration, unlimited custom presets, custom PDF branding, and text-based PDF/TXT/SRT/VTT import.
TapMinutes may offer weekly, monthly, or yearly Pro subscriptions and a seven-day Pro trial when shown in the app. Availability and current pricing can vary by storefront or release state.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple and renew automatically unless canceled. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account subscription settings.
When shown in the app, Custom Preset Pack unlocks up to three custom presets without Pro. Custom PDF Branding unlocks a company name and logo without active Pro, but PDF exporting normally requires Pro.
Backup, restore, and saved-recording recovery are Pro features.
If TapMinutes finds interrupted or unfinished audio, use Recover Saved Recordings to process the available recording. Recovery depends on usable audio still being present on the device.
Use Export Backup to create a meeting archive and Restore Backup to bring supported archive content back into TapMinutes. Keep backup files in a secure location you control.
Start with the prompt shown in TapMinutes; it is tailored to the current recording or import state.
Basic on-device transcription depends on supported iOS versions and system capabilities. Check microphone and speech-recognition permissions, confirm the device is supported, and retry. Cloud processing requires a network connection.
Email [email protected] with your device model, iOS version, TapMinutes version, the action you were taking, and the exact error message. Screenshots are helpful. Do not send a confidential recording unless support specifically requests it and you have permission to share it.
